It probably came to us in a dream. The idea to write a cookbook, that is. It's not something we set our sights on in our youth and have been striving toward all of our lives. We were thinking out loud that what the world needed were recipes that would allow people to enjoy the joy of hot food. And it's a rather perverse joy. You almost need to be part masochistic while you are finding the level of heat that you can best tolerate. Once you try these recipes and work your way up to the hotter ones you will be spoiled for life into enjoying the spicier side of foods. In essence, you will be a "hot snob."
