A heavily illustrated guide to take manufacturing, with most of the content dedicated to tying flies. Includes an authentic fly tying dictionary of popular patterns and a complete outline of fishing entomology and sections on making plugs and rubber lures. Although not marked as such, this copy was from the collection of Edward Joseph "Ted" Garland, the Canadian ambassador to Iceland and Norway, presented to him from his wife on Christmas. Garland was an avid angler and also an influential founding member of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, a precursor to Canada's New Democratic Party.
