description -

Three episodes in the developing friendship of Vic Bear and Arlo Gopher demonstrate how they are good neighbors.

Vic Bear and Arlo Gopher's friendship gets off to a tenuous start on moving day when Arlo accidently waters Vic's belongings. Although Vic gets obviously upset with Arlo, both remain polite and try to work things out. The next two chapters also find the neighbors working on their friendship while ending an unfinished story and sharing ice cream. Luttrell lets her characters show their frustrations and how they resolve them in this low-key, matter-of-fact book. Stapler's muted watercolor and pen illustrations complement the text in action and tone.
