copyright 1914; smaller booklet, unpaginated; inside front page "Presented to Mr. & Mrs. Sherod[?] by the Author" - a bit hard to read; pages tanned with age but in very good condition; the cover is thick construction paper and overhangs the papers inside; very good vintage condition; solid string binding.
The Cowpath Cross The Eighty by J. Darl Henderson. This decorative booklet was actually a sales tool to help sell his new book "Little Sprays From Yesterday" published by The Christopher Publishing House, Boston Mass. This may have been a salesman's hand-out to leave with a potential buyer, or maybe was mailed to people to drum up sales. Artwork on the cover and inside show farm life for a young teenage boy in 1914, set to the words of the poems on the pages.
